What Is Behavioural Optometry?

Behavioural Optometry is an expansion of the practice of traditional optometry, which has it's cornerstone in optical correction and detection of eye disease.

This expansion delves further into the science of visual information processing and involves a holistic approach to the identification and management of visual disorders. This requires additional education in neurological development, vestibular and proprioception processes and how they interact with vision.

Behavioural optometry includes visual therapy and collaboration with other allied health services such as occupational, physio and speech therapy and psychology.
